Terms and Conditions
Dover Harbour Board (DHB) is the organiser of a Christmas event which will include an ice rink from 25 November 2017 until 1 January 2018 (the (the "Event") at the Cruise Terminal 1, Western Docks, Dover (the "Venue"). Access to and/or use of the ice rink and/or Venue is subject to the terms and conditions below.
Ice skating activities carry an inherent risk. Use of the ice rink is entirely at the users own risk. If you or anyone under your supervision has any medical conditions, serious previous injuries, recently broken bones, knee or joint problems, head injuries, pregnancy, mobility problems or taking any prescribed drugs, you should carefully consider whether it is safe to participate without endangering yourself or anyone under your supervision or other participants whilst skating. You agree that you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of any children under the age of 12 you are supervising.
DHB reserves the right to refuse admission to the ice rink and/or the Venue and is entitled to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of all visitors.
DHB is entitled to request visitors to leave the venue at any time. Furthermore, DHB is entitled to remove anyone from the Venue and/or the ice rink who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol or who in the reasonable opinion of DHB is conducting themselves in a manner inappropriate to their continued attendance.
In the event of an emergency, you must follow instructions and directions from stewards, staff and/or other officials.
Smoking is not permitted within the ice rink or the Venue. Eating or drinking is only permitted within the designated cafe area.
You must wear appropriate clothing and bring your own gloves.
No dogs allowed, with the exception of Guide Dogs.
Admission to the ice rink is on production of a valid ticket. Tickets must be booked online if possible. There will be limited number of tickets on sale on a first come first served basis at the onsite box office.
All tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the Venue.
Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on the ice rink. Children aged 12 or under must be accompanied on the ice rink by a person aged 16 or over. The accompanying person must have a valid ticket too.
The duration of an ice rink session is 45 minutes. You should aim to arrive at least 20 minutes before the start time stated on your ticket. If you arrive late for the booked session, you will not receive a full 45 minutes and your session will expire at time stated on your ticket. No refunds will be given if you cannot have a full session as a result of arriving late. If you leave the ice rink before the expiry of your session, you will not be able to re-enter and no refund will be given.
DHB is not responsible or liable for any tickets that are damaged, lost or stolen.
All tickets sale are final. No refunds, cancellations or exchanges are available after you have purchased your tickets.
The ice rink is indoor and will operate in all weather conditions. However in the unlikely event that DHB deems it necessary to close the ice rink, DHB reserves the right at its discretion to offer either a refund or alternative sessions for skating, subject to availability.
If the ice rink has to be cleared for any reason, no refund/alternative session will be given if you have been on the ice rink for over 30 minutes.
If you have been removed from the ice rink or Venue for inappropriate behaviour or safety and security reasons following a security search, no refund or alternative session will be offered.
All prices are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling and include Value Added Tax and all other applicable taxes.
Filming and Photography
By entering the Venue and the ice rink, visitors consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded as visitors of the Event and consent to such photographs, films or recordings being used by DHB to publicise the Event in the future or in connection with any other commercial purposes.
Photography and filming at the venue is only allowed for personal use. Commercial and editorial photography is prohibited without DHB's express permission.
Use of on-site Car Parking Facilities
Subject to availability, on-site parking may be used. Use of the car parking facilities at the Western Docks is subject to DHBÕs Public Car Parking Conditions.
DHB accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage howsoever arising. Furthermore DHB is not responsible for any injuries to the ice rink users, howsoever caused, save where any death or injury is caused by the proven negligence of DHB or its employees.
Unless prohibited from limiting its liability by law, DHB's shall have no liability to you beyond the face value of the ticket purchased.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute hereunder shall be governed by English Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
DHB does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Data collected by this site is used to:a. Take and fulfil customer orders.

All persons entering Dover Harbour Board's (the Board) operational dock areas or any of its premises must exercise proper care and attention for their own safety and the safety of others.
All goods and vehicles entering the Board's operational dock areas or any of its premises do so at the risk of the owner or such other person having custody thereof for the time being. The Board does not accept custody of, nor any other responsibility whatsoever for the safety or security of, such goods or vehicles whilst on the Board's premises. The Board will not accept any liability for loss or damage to goods or vehicles attributable to any cause except insofar as such loss or damage be proved to be due to negligence on the part of the Board or its staff. The Board shall in no case be liable for any direct or indirect consequential or pecuniary loss.
Skate Aids and Storage Facility
Skate aids cannot be booked in advance and are only available on a first come first served basis at the onsite box office, from 30 minutes prior to the start of each session at a cost of £5.00. Skate aids are suitable for children up to 8 or 9 years old.
